Job Summary
Assists with scheduling and supervision of Team Members, overseeing day-to-day department flow, and maintaining prepared foods displays. Supports Prepared Foods Team Leaders to ensure smooth team operation. Provides courteous and efficient service to customers and Team Members.Responsibilities

  • Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members.
  • Trains Team Members to build a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
  • Assists in training of new Team Members.
  • Keeps cases and shelves clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated.
  • Opens and closes department according to established procedures.
  • Ensures all necessary breaks are given.
  • Communicates team concerns to Team Leaders.
  • Sets and achieves retail execution standards.
  • Fosters a positive team environment and encourages outstanding teamwork and morale.
  • Directs Team Members to satisfy and delight customers.
  • Selects, trains, develops, and mentors Team Members to sustain a high-performance team.
  • Provides timely performance evaluations.
  • Communicates and models WFM vision and goals.Requirements
    • Extensive knowledge of Prepared Foods team procedures and policies.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and customer relationship skills.
    • Product knowledge.
    • Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures.
    • Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance and managing inventory.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills, decision-making ability, and ability to prioritize and delegate.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operations-related applications.Physical Requirements
      • Lifts up to 50 pounds.
      • Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
      • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
      • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
      • Exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
      • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
      • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
      • Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives and heavy machinery.
