Job Description:
Machinist- Set up and operate conventional, special-purpose and
numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate
metallic and nonmetallic parts, and fits and assembles machines
parts into complete unitS. Ability to set up, adjust, and operate
all machine tools within the cell, to produce various parts within
specifications from blueprints.
Must be able to read and understand basic manufacturing mechanical
blueprints, and have good basic math skills in addition,
subtraction, division and multiplication.
Ability to work accurately with basic keyboard and monitor
interfaced with the mainframe computer to enter work order data and
correct qualities as required.
Must have a working knowledge or ability to learn to use a
micrometer, depth micrometer, dial indicators, and other precision
measuring instruments.
Must have ability to hold very close tolerances and surface finish
requirements
